Braised Broccoli with Orange Parmesan

1/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice

1 (14 ounce) can crushed San Marzano tomatoes

1 - head broccoli, cut into florist, stalk peeled and sliced

1/4 - teaspoon chopped fresh oregano

1/4 - teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/4 - teaspoon salt

1/8 - teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 - TBS extra virgin olive oil

1/4 - cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese shavings

Combine the orange juice and tomatoes in a medium pot over medium - high heat. Bring to a boil and then add the broccoli. Add the oregano and pepper flakes. Cover and cook until tender yet still crisp and brig green, about 3 minutes. Remove the lid and season with the salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle with the olive oil, sprinkle n the parmesan shavings, and serve.

The fastest way to always lose weight is to eat foods that are low on the glycemic index and fruit is no exception. A lot of times people will eat too much fruit and make the excuse that it's fruit, it's healthy for you, yes but just like everything else, too much of a anything is not good. Yes,fruit is good for you but like anything else especial when trying to lose fat fast, you have to keep it in moderation.

Mineral and vitamins need fat to get properly absorbed so when you combine a little bit of organic butter with your vegetables, the nutrients get absorbed more efficiently into the body. This is a great 4th of July low carb recipe with tons of high fiber.

  • 2 cups of diagonally cut carrots, about 2 inches
  • 1 tablespoon organic melted butter
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp of kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper

Pan cooking spray or another good choices for oil sprays are, Grapeseed Oil spray  which is one of th best antioxidants you can give your body and of course and oil oil spray.

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Combine all 5 ingredients on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray and then Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes
