Is sugar too toxic?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 1700, the average human consumed about 4 pounds of sugar each year.

In 1800, the average human consumed 18 pounds of sugar each year.

In 1900 the average human consumed 90 pounds of sugar each year.

In 2009, the human consumed 150 pounds of sugar each year. 

Most of this sugar is in unnatural, man-made forms such as sucrose and high fructose corn syrup. Last month, the TV special 60 Minutes did s a special on how damaging too much consumption of sugar is to the body. It leads to: obesity,diabetes 2, juvenile diabetes elevated triglycerides, abnormal LDL:HDL cholesterol levels, induces cancer cell division and elevated arterial inflammatory risk factors.

Hight Intensity Interval Training - Exercise Everyday !

Exercise is a must!  Keep your metabolism up though exercise and resistance training. Why? Because we lose 10lbs of muscle a year.  When we exercise, we also have this great post-exercise period called "EPOC." Exercise Post Oxygen Consumption = more calories burned. The magnitude of the EPOC can change with different types of training. Weight training and circuit training where you have 40-70 seconds under tension per set will rev up the metabolism. More tension your body is under, the higher the metabolic response.

 Exercise every day with high intensity interval training workouts. It has been proven time after time that if you incorporate circuit training and high intensity interval training workouts, you will lose fat. They are the best way for both men and women to lose fat.  They what I call the Fat loss workouts.

On days that you don't feel like working out, if you just start moving your body and eventually you will gain enough momentum to complete a workout. Make it an absolutely mandatory that you will do something everyday, even if it is simply going for a long walk or doing 100 pushups in the park but that you will do something. Remember that a 100 calories burned a day is 2800 calories burned a month, 33,600 calories burned a year which is 10 pounds of body fat.

I have over 13 years of personal training experience and have earned many of the top certifications in biomechanics, physiology and nutrition as well as learning from the best trainers and coaches in the fitness industry. I believe that circuit training workouts and high intensity interval training workouts are the most efficient way to get in phenomenal shape. High intensity interval training workouts have proven time after time to be the best way to lose body fat for men and for women. They are the FAT LOSS WORKOUTS!

I teach my clients how to eat the Paleo way which isn’t a diet, it’s how we were designed to eat. When you incorporate a Paleo way of eating your workouts become more efficient, your blood sugar stabilizes giving you more energy and helping you to burn off stored fat.  When you eliminate foods that are at odds with your body like grains, sweets and dairy, you increase your intake of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Your body begins to function and perform the way it should and that’s when the weight comes off.

Life itself is full ups and downs and you have to be able to respond effectively.
